Our memorials are made to order by highly skilled craftsmen and women. Each is personalised to the needs of the customer. There are many stages in the process. Memorials therefore take time to manufacture and install.
Please note that there are often delays in supplying and installing memorials due to events that we have no control over. These are three examples:
We source high quality stone by importing direct from Italy, China and India. By cutting out middlemen in the UK we can offer the very best memorial prices. We import stone via bulk orders – orders which may take 4 to 6 weeks to build up to achieve the best stone and shipping prices.
Nothing can happen until a memorial permit has been granted by a cemetery or Churchyard office. Typically, it can take between 1 to 6 weeks to obtain a permit. – sometimes longer if the original grave owner has died. Exceptional delays of up to three months have been experienced in the past. When this happens, it delays our ordering of your stone from our suppliers.
There have been periodic global shipping problems which at times has seen longer sailing times and delays in ports. Currently piracy problems in the Red Sea have added at least 15 days to sailing times.
Section 1 of our Guidance Notes (pages 3 to 8) is the most important. It deals with the 10 key stages, the potential timescale and our payment terms. It is important that Section 1 is read.

WE RECOMMEND THAT CUSTOMERS INFORM FAMLY MEMBERS FROM THE OUTSET OF THE FACT THAT THE TIMESCALE INVOLVED IS NOT A SHORT ONE.
